One key factor to the comfort in your home during the winter is insulation, so ask yourself, “is my home properly insulated for the cold weather ahead?” Here’s how you can tell! You shouldn’t be freezing in one room and feeling warm in another. If you do, these uneven temperatures are a giveaway that your home is under-insulated. Proper insulation will keep all of the warm air you pay for inside your home. If you notice that your energy bills have been increasing from year to year, that air might be escaping through uninsulated spaces! When drywall and paneling inside the home feels damp or cold, there’s not enough insulation between the cold environment outside and the cold walls, floors and ceilings inside. Sometimes not having enough insulation around doors and windows can result in cold drafts in certain areas of the home during the winter months.
